The detailed description Only 32 km away from Sibiu, we discover Păltiniș, one of the oldest ski resorts in Romania. From here we will start our trekking tour in the Cindrel Mountains. The natural reserve Iezerele Cindrelului is located between the peaks Cindrel and Frumoasa, where there are also two glacial lakes, Iezerul Mare and Iezerul Mic, which we can admire. This natural reserve is rich in fauna and wonderful landscapes. Valea Frumoasei is one of the most important pastoral areas of Romania. A legend says that the lake Iezerul Mare was formed from the tears of a young pastor.
