The detailed description
Cârța is the first destination of our day trip; here you can see the only Cistercian Abbey in Romania.
After a pleasant walk through Cârța we move on and travel further to Albota on the Transfăgărășan road. In Albota, we will visit the trout farm, situated on the Carpathian foothills and surrounded by mountains, in the middle of beautiful scenery. Optional: We can eat fresh fish and local specialties. We continue our tour to Lake Bâlea.
The Bâlea Lake is a glacial lake in the Fagaras Mountains, located in the middle of Romania. The lake is located between the mountains Negoiu and Moldoveanu, the highest peaks in the Romanian Carpathians. The road that takes us there offers a unique, idyllic panorama.
